Here are 13 things you need to check through to make sure you have implemented them ALL in your business.

1. Create a great USP - something that stands out and tells your clients why you are not only the best choice, but the only choice in their purchasing decision.

2. Keep it simple. Can a grade 8 read and understand what it is you are saying in your promotions? If not, go back and simplify it.

3. Educate them - tell them about you, your business, what it does and how it does it - and - MOST IMPORTANTLY - why they should even care!

4. Ask the prospect/client to take action right now. Any action - to buy, phone, email, sign-up - whatever your marketing message is - make sure it contains something they should take action on.

5. Why should they believe you? The prospects you are targeting WILL distrust you. It is a fact of life. You need to overcome this distrust with proof that you deliver (testimonials, case studies, pictures, professional sources, anything and everything that shows you are the best at what you do)

6. "What's new?" is something your prospects AND clients want to ask and know. You must give them compelling reasons to buy - buy again - and spend more each time. And you can't do that by boring them - what is NEW in your business? Your offering? Your client success stories? New bundles of products or seasonal promotions? Tell them what is new in your personal life. Make sure they have a good reason to read what you are writing!

7. Make sure everything you do is designed to get their contact information. From your business cards to your letterhead, to your advertising and website - everything must present a compelling case as to why they should give you their contact information. And when they do - FOLLOW UP!

8. Find ways to raise your prices and offer an up-sell every time they go to make a purchase. There is ample proof that you can double your prices and not lose a significant number of buyers - as long as you make the reason compelling enough as to why they should pay the higher price - and what you offer in return.

9. Call everyone (or hire professionals to do it on your behalf) AFTER your direct mail efforts - it will increase your response by a huge margin.

10. Find people to joint venture with and cross-promote to their lists and your own.

11. Make sure your clients and prospects KNOW you appreciate them. They pay the bills - so make sure they are constantly told that you value them.

12. Invest a substantial amount of your time developing good higher end products for your clients. Either on your own or through partners, you need to present them options at higher prices and better bundles of products and services. A one-time buyer is twice as likely as a prospect to buy again, and at a higher price. A two-time buyer three times as likely... and so on. Your entire goal is to get them to buy once then offer them multiple options to buy again, and again.

13. The greatest way to get referrals is by being the best-of-the-best. Make it so they would feel guilty for NOT telling their friends, family and business associates about you. Be the ONLY one they would through excellence. And again, you have to ASK them to refer their friends and family. They may do it on their own - but chances are they don't feel comfortable doing it. But if you position so there is something in it for them, and for those who they refer - they are much more likely to actually do it.

Here's to you cranking up the heat on your marketing!

To your success,

Troy White

PS: Discover how to make your cash flow surge with the street smart marketing tools at my blog http://www.blog.smallbusinesscopywriter.com

You also get one of my favorite case studies of marketing done exceptionally well, The Million Dollar Lobster Report when you sign up for updates on my blog. No matter how good you are at doing professional paint work, it won't help you if you don't have a marketing strategy in place to promote and sell the services that you offer.

In this article we look at how effective painting business marketing strategies can help your company get the painting jobs that you need on a regular basis. We also off ideas and tips on putting such a marketing plan together.

Branding Strategy

Right from the start you should set out to develop a brand. Give some thoughts to how you want to shape public perceptions of your business. A great name and logo design can give your brand visual representation but there is much more to it than that. A winning brand strategy is to have the right attitude and to adopt a business philosophy that will ensure that you slowly start to develop a good reputation. Strive to become known as a reliable company that always meets and exceeds customer expectations.

Painting Niche Markets

Before you can start to develop a marketing strategy you need to know exactly what painting services you intend on selling. Depending on the size of your local market and the number of competitors you may decide to specialize in one particular area or to be a 'jack of all trades'.

The market can basically divided into two broad areas, exterior and interior painting. Exterior or outdoor painting work is usually easier to get as people are less likely to do it themselves due to the perceived danger of getting up on ladders. The great thing about outdoor painting work is that customers are usually less demanding then they are when you are painting surfaces inside their home. With outdoor painting you do have to consider safety to a much greater extent though, particularly for multi story buildings. You don't even have to limit yourself to house painting as all kinds of buildings need painting from time to time.

Market Research

Do some thorough market research and identify all of the opportunities that are out there in the market. You also need to try to understand who your customers are likely to be and how you can market your service to them in a way that they will respond favorably. Put together some customer profiles and chat to a few typical customers to find out more from their prospective. Get into the customers shoes and try to understand what they are looking for in a painting company.

Networking Tips

One great way to pick up some regular jobs is to approach people who you think are in a position to be able to refer customers to you. Try to make relationships with property developers, interior decorators, real estate agents, home staging companies, property management firms and others who are out there in the market. Other networking options include joining a local builders association or the Chamber of Commerce.

Look for other well established service businesses that have large lists of clients and regular communication with them. You may find cleaning companies or lawn care businesses that will promote your service to their mailing list for a fee.

It can be great to have relationships with other painting contractors. While they are competitors in some sense of the word, they can also be helpful. If you specialize in different kinds of painting or you work in different parts of town then you may just be able to refer business to each other. If you are lucky there may be times when you have more work then you can handle. Being able to pass work on to other painters that you know are reliable will be good for your customers and good for them. They may also reciprocate and send work your way.

One great place to meet people is at home improvement stores. The painting section in Home Depot can be a gold mine if you are friendly and strike up some casual conversations. You will meet other contractors there and you may even meet a customer as well.

Advertising Campaigns

The obvious way for a new business to get in touch with prospective customers is through advertising. Test a variety of methods that will put you directly in touch with your target market. For more information see our article on Painting Business Advertising.

Marketing Materials

It helps if you have some marketing materials to show to prospective customers when you meet them for a consultation. Have some brochures made up or at least take a folder along with you with pictures of some of the jobs that you have completed in the past. Testimonials from previous customers also offer the prospect the kind of reassurance and 'social proof' that they want before they sign the dotted line.

What can you do if you have not completed any paint jobs yet or don't have any suitable photos? One great tip is to purchase stock photography from an online retailer. Featuring pictures of beautiful paint jobs in your brochure or on your website is not fraudulent if you don't make false claims about the depicted work being your own.

Fine Tune your Sales Process

To be a huge success in the painting business you do have to have someone on your team who is able to go out there and sell your services. There are many different sales strategies and techniques and they all have varying levels of success depending on the sales person and the prospect. Learn about some of the different approaches, test them out and then find out what works for you.

Don't be intimidated by the idea that you have to sell. Sometimes if you just be yourself, stay positive and guide the customer through a pleasant conversation about how you can help them, that's all it takes.

Try to up-sell customers on additional painting work. Once they have agreed to hire you to paint a certain area you can also start suggesting other areas of their house or property that could do with some paint work.

Ideas on Customer Service

In the painting business you have to be a good communicator as well as a good painter. It is necessary to take the time to understand every customers unique requirements. Always give them the best standard of service and make sure that they have open lines of communication with you. This should start right from the moment they get in contact with you to enquire about your services. Try to have someone answering your phone calls in person and if this is not possible then make sure that you return calls as soon as possible.

Marketing to Existing Customers

Once you have a customer and have completed some work on their home, that doesn't have to be the end of your relationship with them. Build up a client list with notes about each property that you have painted. You can then contact them from time to time and offer to do any other painting work that they require.

There are many great guide books available online that will offer you additional ideas and strategies for your painting business marketing. If you study marketing in general you will find that most concepts relate to the painting industry and can be applied in your business.

To learn more about painting business marketing and numerous other topics related to the painting business check out - www.StartingaPaintingBusiness.com

Business Marketing Tips To Increase Product Sales

Are you thinking of business marketing tips to increase your product sales? There are hundreds of different tips and tricks that you might consider implementing but in this modern-day and age, there are three that stand out.

Create Your Own Website

In the past when people needed to look for a product, they used a physical book directory to look for relevant stores in the neighborhood. Today, potential buyers are increasingly becoming more involved in searching for and buying products online. Websites have become virtual versions of brick and mortar stores. According to a 2009 research conducted by Pew Research Center, about 80% of adults in the U.S. aged 33-44 use the internet to make purchases. Clearly, you are missing out on a great opportunity to reach out to an active market online.

You do have to keep in mind though that to truly benefit from a website for a local product, you need to make sure your site is geographically targeted. One way to do that is to settle for a top-level domain that carries your country's extension as opposed to the more general.com extension. This way, when someone searches for a product like yours, your website comes out as a relevant search result for your locality.

Participate In Social Media Networks

Aside from having your own official website, your small business marketing plan should also involve tapping into the great potential of social media membership sites and networks. People don't just go online to look for information or to buy products. They also access the internet to interact socially with other users. If you set up pages and profiles in social networks, you will be able to reach out to potential buyers in real-time with a single click of a mouse button.

You don't even have to hard sell when using social networks to reap long-term benefits. The mere act of interacting with people and answering their questions can already help build your reputation and that of your business. More product sales will eventually follow through constant communication with potential buyers.

Organize Local Events

Despite the rise of modern marketing platforms that capitalize on the power of the internet, you cannot discount the value of old school techniques. One of the best strategies to generate more noise about your products is by organizing local events like seminars, talks and workshops. These should be local events because you'll get faster sales conversions with potential buyers situated right where your business is located.

An event does not have to be about the product alone. You can organize activities that relate to a product's general market, giving relevant tips and pieces of advice. If an event has enough useful information in it, people will eventually see your product in a good light and treat it as a possible answer to their related issues.

There are loads of business marketing tips for generating more sales but online participation and local evdnt organization are two of the top ways to get ahead of the game. Start implementing these tips now before your competition beats you to it.

Discover How An SEO Company Can Complement Your Business Marketing Plan.
Drop By http://www.melbourneseoservices.com And Reap More Profits Today.

Solo to Business Owner

Stepping up from Solo to Business Owner

You have good sales turn-over and cash-flow is always positive. There are opportunities to bring other associates in to work under your brand - is it worth the effort? An alternative would be to let consultants you trust do the work, in their own right (invoicing direct). You could get them to pay you an introductory percentage? What do your need to know in order to decide what to do? This article identifies the key criteria for decision-making.

Factors to Consider

Factors include IR35 with potential liabilities if associates are deemed by the HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs) to be 'employed' by you. Other factors include cash-flow, contractual issues, time/management load, quality-assurance, managing people and their expectations, extra up-front costs and customer-loyalty. All these need to considered.

Customer Loyalty

How important is your brand in helping you to retain and to win new business? Will customer-loyalty be damaged by referring to other independent associates working under their own branding? If you do not know, then engage with your existing clients to find out the answer and use the process of research to develop and grow your relationship with your client-contacts.

IR35

Consultants are deemed by HMRC to be employed if the bulk of their work comes from one source, whatever the nature of their contract. This means that, potentially, you could get a large, retrospective bill for PAYE and National Insurance in 3 years time! Make it a contractual point that consultants must have multiple clients during each tax-year and that the onus is on them to tell you if this is no longer the case, so you can determine what steps to take regarding their tax status. Where a consultant is set-up as a limited-company this may not protect you. If a company is set up simply to deny revenue to HMRC, the consequences (of fraud) are significant.

Cash Flow

You'll need to receive funds for work before paying out to your associates to preserve your cash-flow positive. You will also need to set the expectations of your new associates sensibly. Contract terms can include topics such as which party is responsible for bad-debts if your client fails to pay.

Remember that consultants like to receive their out-of-pocket expenses quickly, so ask them for separate invoicing for fees and expenses. Negotiate with your clients about the payment of expenses and how often you can invoice. For expenses we usually invoice fortnightly by agreement. That negotiated agreement means that we can aggregate associate-expenses frequently and bill these. once these expenses bills are paid, we pay the associates immediately.

Do not pay fees to the consultant until the assignment (or stages of work) are complete and when the client is happy with the delivery. If you do pay out early and have to send in another consultant to complete work, you will have to find the funds yourself.

If you are VAT registered and pay monthly, change to a quarterly reporting basis to reduce administration and improve cash-flow. If you are not yet VAT registered, remember to set up on a 'cash basis' (not invoice basis) so the payment to be made to HMRC is always based upon actual cash received. If you get this wrong, you cannot change your registration later. The only resort then is to cancel your VAT arrangement and re-apply with another number.

It's a good moment to consider that most VAT-registered consultants/associates do not understand VAT and often claim gross expenses for which they should be claiming VAT themselves. Where they can claim VAT., they should be detailing the net amount in their invoice to you. If you do not educate the associates and if you miss such errors, your invoices to the client may have VAT applied to the gross sum (VAT paid on VAT!) at 20% and the additional costs are significant.

Remember too, that if you do not ask clients to pay fees up-front, they will not do so. Some weeks ago I received £27K fees up-fron tbecause we asked for advance-payment. If you do not ask, you will not get!

In setting up new associates within your own business there will be extra costs including printing of business cards, email set-up, face-to-face meetings and telephone calls. Ynu will need to budget both time and cost for these extras.

Time & Management

It takes time to manage new people. On top of this time, other activities will eat into your working day. These activities will include financial controls, invoicing, payments, accounting, relationship-management and quality-control. Can you afford to take all this on? How good are you at managing the expectations of people and managing them day-to-day?

Quality Assurance & CPD

How will you assess the delivery quality to your client when other associates are doing the work? Are you prepared to observe their work and/or seek independent feedback?

Our coaches attend twelve-hour assessment centres (with additional costs) but these centres iron out potential QA issues. We also insist that associates maintain CPD (Continuous Professional Development) records.

Many consultants still refer to their lead-contractor ('principal') as 'them' even when you provide business cards and a branded email address. Make clear your expectations of associates in this respect. To do this, consider using coaching techniques to sound them out (asking questions). The process may give you more confidence in potential associates if they are considerate of your needs. Ask your associates to talk-up your brand and to always 'represent' your brand-quality in all interactions with your client.

Contracting

You can already appreciate how important it is to have open discussions about many features of your agreement with associate-consultants. Do not leave this to the paper-work; it is the process of 'contracting itself' which reduces the chance of later problems. The process will help to make your requirements and boundaries obvious to your new associates.

As well as the many issues already mentioned, I recommend 'rolling-agreements' rather than fixed-term agreements, as these need less administration. A 6-12 months rolling term is typical. We leave actual fees off the agreement but instead refer to a second document, the 'Project Assignment Document' (PAD) which is declared in the agreement and forms part of the binding agreement itself. This allows us to negotiate with different clients having differing needs and remuneration-limits, expenses limitations and so on; all this is contained in the PAD for each assignment. With international clientele, we are not always able to have our preferred terms agreed so our associate-agreements have to be flexible to accommodate these needs. The PDA make agreements very flexible indeed.

Make sure that your associates are responsible for PI and Public Liability Insurance at the appropriate levels (different clients want different levels of cover typically up to £5Million or more) or add the associates to your own policy.

End Note

There is a lot to consider in stepping-up to business owner. The time taken away from your own fee-earning and from your market/relationship maintenance will be considerable. If the rewards do not compensate you enough to buy in administrative support to cover this, you may want to consider that the simple introductory fee basis (and independent invoicing) will be less work and effort. If you are looking to insure your home or your car, then there is something tangible to identify, and certain risks it is possible to insure and rate probability of.

The nature of a small business means that there are a large number of variables that can alter they nature of risk involved, and a much greater choice once risks are identified, between arranging insurance and deciding to self insure or run the risk yourself.

The first thing to clarify is what constitutes a small business. This matters because many figures are bandied around which are somewhat misleading. This is because various government and state bodies like to categorize things, and therefore come up with defining a small business as one employing under five hundred people or under one thousand people etc. truth is that a small business can be one person working from home, up to any size really, possibly several thousand employees.

This has changed considerably recently with the advent of the internet and the ability of people to work from home as full time or part time employees of a business or simply to be self employed.

Many small business's don't need a physical office any more, they can work in a virtual one from anywhere they like. This matters because if you are running a small business from home, it can directly impact your normal domestic house or contents or car insurance, which is something most people don't realize.

If you are working from home, you need to let your insurance company that insures your house or your car know. They may be ok with it or they may place restrictions, in which case you would need to arrange a different insurance somewhere else. In any event you need to let them know, because if anything happened and you didn't tell the, it could well invalidate your existing policies.

This is a basic precondition before you go on to consider other types of insurance or risk management. If you are not working from home, then there is a fair chance you are using premises that you either rent or have bought, and possibly employing other people as well.

If that is the case, then there are a range of insurance issue you need to look at, concerning premises insurance, car or car fleet insurance, and perhaps most significantly, your legal and moral responsibilities towards your employees.

The author is a freelance writer who specializes in insurance having spent many years in the industry, working at Lloyd's of London, in particular he writes about small business insurance and the related area of car insurance.

Sales Reps Can Be Your Savior

I was a national sales rep for 14 years before switching sides and founding or co-founding 16 start-ups, one of which made the INC 500 list three years in a row...So, I feel qualified to speak on this subject which I think is misunderstood and not taught at school. This article is to help Sales Reps and Manufacturers understand each other better, to create a positive partnership that will yield more profits for each, and to extend the duration of the partnership. Too often this relationship is adversarial. It shouldn't be, as both factions need each other. Before continuing, I think I should define what a Sales Rep is. A manufacturer's representative, also known as a sales representative, sales agent, a broker in some industries, or simply a rep, is an independent business person who acts as the sales arm for one or more businesses which are comprised of one or more products or services. Most Reps are paid a commission for their sales efforts rather than a salary. Some Reps are permitted to take a draw (or advance) against commissions; others are not. They are responsible for their expenses. The commission can vary greatly-from 2 percent to 20 percent. Basically Sales Reps are Entrepreneurs in their own business. It is important to understand this as you can't order them to do something. You need to sell them on your integrity, agenda, company, product, and vision. To do this effectively, you should understand how they think, their strengths and weaknesses, and the environment they work in.

Compensation Reps are primarily paid on a commission basis although in some industries, such as Pharmaceuticals, they receive a base salary with performance-based bonus. The wide spread of commission rates (2%-20%) is based on a variety of factors explored in the Guide.

Who Becomes a Rep? There is no Sales Rep gene, and they come from all walks of life and choose the profession for different reasons. They want to be their own boss, they see the opportunity to earn a lot of money as there are no ceilings on their compensation, they know that they can choose which 12 hours a day they want to work, etc.

Why Work with a Rep? There are two perspectives on this question: that of the manufacturers and that of the customer who the Rep is selling. The two main reasons for a manufacturer are they get an experienced salesperson with no fixed cost and quick access to desired customers who are difficult to reach. The Buyer among many reasons prefers a Sales Rep because they trust them more as they know that the Rep depends on them for a living more than the mantfacturer does, and the Rep is more accessible.

How to Find and Select a Rep Before you begin the process, you need to think through what you expect from a specific Rep, the kind of characteristics he or she should have, their customer base, the other lines they carry, and much more. Finding the right Rep is a difficult task and there are numerous approaches. My most productive methods were to ask Buyers on whom the prospective Rep calls. They are a gold mine of valuable information to help you in your quest. They not only can identify the most successful Reps that call on them but lead you to the most promising newcomers that are not on everyone's radar yet. They will be able to give you more time and passion Second: I checked with other good Reps that we knew. Reps network with each other and know the difference between good and bad ones. Today with the advent of the internet and the comprehensive searches you can do, I discovered sites which match up Sales Reps and Manufacturers to each one's specific needs.

Rep and Manufacturer Complaints About Each Other There is a long list of complaints each party has about the other. I believe it's very helpful to understand what these are. They can help you to help each other, which will profit everyone. The list of complaints may not be readily apparent to the other party. If taken seriously, each party can improve the running and effectiveness of their company. (In my next article I will list the complaints of both parties). Basically, there is a healthy amount of distrust on both sides. A lot of this stems from many of these easily correctable complaints. Trust is the pillar on which effective relationships are built. With it this Rep/Manufacturer relationship should have a long life.

Training Reps Most manufacturers give short shrift to the training of a new Rep. They make the mistake of sending out catalog sheets or directing them to their website and maybe supply some samples and expect the orders to roll in...not a formula for success. Would you train a new full-time hire in so casual a manner?

The Future of Reps There are many outside world trends, including technology that indicates that reps may become extinct. I don't think so if the parties will work closely and with honesty...but it helps to take a step back and think about planning for the future.

Bob Reiss is the author of Bootstrapping 101: Tips to Build Your Business with Limited Cash and Free Outside Help.

To read more tips for small business success, entrepreneurs can follow his weekly blog.

Bob Reiss has been involved in 16 start-ups, is a three-time INC 500 winner, a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Business School, and the subject of two Harvard case studies. People have decided more every day that they want to be a part of a specialized newscast that gives them information on specific topics that they have interest in. Podcasting is a great way to give information to a specific group of subscribers in the form of video, audio, or PDF files.

A podcast is very similar to a station such as a radio station or TV station. As additional postings of videos or audio, or even written text is added to the podcast channel, the subscriber receives these additional postings when they are posted on an ongoing basis.

In this way these podcasts act as a favorite radio station or TV program series that people are accustomed to have available to themselves so they get the information they desire. If this information is about your business products or services this is all the better for you and your business.

Many business owners say that their podcast subscribers are their best customers. This is because the very best information about the business is put in these subscriptions. The business owner will deliver very personal information in a podcast about their business, and explain and demonstrate exactly what they have to offer to buyers using this podcast method.

1. Establish Podcast Presence

First, you need to set up a podcast channel so that you can broadcast messages to subscribers. There are several forms of software on the market to help you create a podcast channel.

Next, you need to establish podcast directory accounts and these accounts will forward your podcast message throughout their directories to their subscribers thereby building a widening base of potential prospects to your business.

2.Create Podcast Channel

When a podcast channel is created it should be submitted to iTunes and to several authoritative and respected podcast directories.

Of particular note here is the fact that iTunes subscribers are accustomed to buying products and services online, and do so on a regular basis. Their credit card is on file with the iTunes directory so that they can buy something with just a click.

This is good news for you because they are used to buying products and services online. If you have a product or service that can be sold online, you will find that your iTunes podcast subscribers will give you the best conversions to sales of all of your prospects.

There are companies you can find on the Internet that will create podcast channels and submit information to the podcast directories to post information about your business.

3. Submit Postings To Podcast Directories

Now once you have your podcast channel created, it's time to produce your video, or produce your audio presentation, or write your article and submit them to all of the best podcast directories.

And once they are submitted, the information will get to the subscribers in these directories that you want to eventually come to your site, learn more about your business, and buy your products and services.

For further explanation about these tips and to find more ways Internet marketing can make your business or practice grow, see the resource box at the bottom of this article to get more information.

Finally, the internet marketing scene is constantly changing - so what worked in the past may not work well now. However to be successful it is important that you focus on doing the things that need to be done in order to make your business a success.

This means that you must focus the majority of your daily efforts on doing the things that will lead to not only making sales but also to earning you a good profit. The good news is that when you plan and prepare a realistic budget and stick to it, this is much easier to accomplish.

The mistake that many first time home based business owners make is that they do not take a structured approach to building their business. This causes them to be easily distracted, jumping from one thing to another and as a result they may end up over spending, accomplishing very little and soon just quitting.

However by following a few simple tips you can significantly increase your chances of achieving online success and reaching your income goals.

Here are 5 Home based business marketing tips that can help you:

1.) Set clear, specific, realistic and achievable goals. Many people start off with hopes of striking it rich within their first few weeks of being online. This rarely if ever happens, especially if you have no prior business experience, training or additional guidance.

It is much better to start with small achievable goals like getting a certain amount of traffic per day and then increasing that number until you are starting to see results.

2) Identify your target market - This is an important step that a lot of new business owners skip but it is important that you identify A.) who is your idea customer and B.) What is the best way to reach them. This can save you a lot of time with your marketing budget and efforts.

3.) Have a strategy that you can use to develop your plan of action. This strategy could and should include more than one approach for marketing your home based business.

For example your strategy could revolve around using search engine optimization and this could include article marketing, bookmarking at different social media sites as well as using other forms of social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.

4.) Create a plan of action and systems for doing things. This should include ongoing tasks management systems which allow for things to be done on a regular basis. You should not rely on how you feel each day to determine what will get done that day.

By creating a plan of action or a work flow system you can set up daily action items to be done each day that will move your projects forward and allow you to achieve your income goals and objectives.

5.) Manage your time well. Having daily achievement goals is a great start to achieving success with your home based business however unless you are maximizing your time usage, you may not be getting as much done as needed. This can prevent you from realizing even more success even faster.

$0ABy following these 5 tips you will be able to stay focused on doing what needs to be done to make daily progress and achieve your income goals.

To get a Free ebook on how to start your own online business, click here => http://creating-an-online-business.info and to learn more on how to start an online business visit my website at http://onlinemarketinghelp101.blogspot.com

Marketing Tips For Any Internet Business

Many people and businesses use Internet marketing as a way to sell and advertise products and services. Internet marketing helps you use ads and SEO to make profits. If online marketing appeals to you, the points in this article should give you some valuable ideas to get started.

Personalized descriptions full of emotion and praise are the best for your products as it will cause potential customers to form a sense of attachment to an item and be more likely to purchase it. Doing so will help to create brand recognition. Use language that consumers will view as favorable.

Creating unique and quality content is important to successful Internet marketing. The search engines are wise to what folks are doing to circumvent the system, and are adept at identifying duplicated content and punishing offenders. Try to be innovative.

Make sure you have internal links with keywords. Provide your consumers with links to other relevant site content in order to keep them on your site for a longer period of time. By offering them links to your internal content, you not only retain your readers, but you can improve your search engine visibility.

It is a great idea to include user polls on your site where you post content for interaction and feedback purposes. This will make visitors feel that they are a part of your decisions, and will help keep your website loaded with appealing content.

The word "limited" should be used in ads wherever possible. Many consumers have turned to online retailers because they are looking for products that are not offered in local stores. Instead, they prefer merchandise that is distinctive. If something is a limited edition, people will understand that it's going to sell out quicker and that they are most likely not going to be able to find something similar elsewhere.

Think about your service or product, and how good the quality actually is. No amount of marketing can change a product that is faulty or otherwise inferior. A superior product is easier to sell, and will generate more sales.

A great way to get customer feedback is to allow them to put ratings and reviews on your website. Feedback from your customers allows you to see the advantages of each of your products from the vantage point of your consumers.

Include customer reviews for your products on your site. Your potential customers will enjoy reading the experiences of others and getting a first hand point of view regarding your products. This insight makes your company appear more transparent and honest about its product offering, which increases the likelihood that an individual will do business with you.

To make your online advertisements more effective, make use of words like "limited" and "special". People like to own items that are original or exclusive. Using those phrases will tempt your customers to make a fast purchase of your items.

Try to make a subtle, non-flashy website. When a person visits your site, you have less than five seconds of time to grab their attention, before they decide to leave and check out another site. If you don't have their attention by then, they'll probably already be gone.

Creating and maintaining an interesting blog is a great way to draw in visitors. Fresh content is key to maintaining your readers' interest. When visitors can rely on newly-added content appearing each time they look at your website, they are sure to become frequent readers.

In conclusion, many businesses use Internet marketing to sell products and services. Internet marketing uses methods such as search engine optimization and advertising to generate sales interest. If you remember the advice in this article, you can use Internet marketing to seriously boost interest in your own products and services.

Sean is an expert in social media. Have you finally thrown away the yellow pages and are looking for more productive ways to market your business for increased profits. In this article I am going to embark upon 7 major effective social media marketing tips you can use for your local business to generate more traffic, awareness, and brand productivity.

Social media is going to be the best way to present your business to your current and potential customers on a ongoing basis. The reason the internet is so powerful and why you should morph your way over to the promise land is this..

You have the ability to present even while you are sleeping. Unbelievable? Believe it. In 2010 and beyond, it time to work smarter and not harder. It's time for your business to take a step into social media reality.

1. Join Facebook Groups- If you are new to the internet, Facebook is a great place to meet and greet other business owners who are in your niche. It's also a great place to research what the prospects in your market are hungry for, and how to get it to them. Once you get the hang of things, Facebook is the place to be if you want to build solid relationships and brand your name.

2. Facebook PPC- As you become more skilled, Facebook also has an interface where you can use pay per click advertising located on the right side of individual profiles. The key to this type of marketing is having the right picture, ad message, and capture page.

3. Videos- One of my favorite marketing strategies is video marketing. YouTube is set to surpass Google in the amount of searches it gets on a monthly basis. This is huge for your business, since more and more people would prefer searching for videos rather than articles. Get acquainted with this type of marketing for a surge in traffic and leads.

4. Optimization- Search engine optimization is still a force to be reckoned with. Don't count this technique out. As you start to shoot videos and present your products and service to the world, with a little "tweeking" of a few keywords, you could be ranking pretty well in Google. Focus on the long tail keywords with this strategy.

5. Blogging- Blogs are a nice way to keep in touch with your loyal customers and also a great way to attract new clients. A blog will be the perfect space for you to exemplify your expertise to the masses.

With many different blog features you can interchange videos, articles, and audio to keep your readers interested at all times. Also, this is where you could build a newsletter list by giving away your best FREE gift for first time visitors.

6. Blog commenting- Once you have established a nice blog and have added some content on your pages, it would be a good idea to search for other blogs that are in your niche. A great way to build relationships online and to attract a surge of traffic is to comment on other business owner's blogs.

Make sure you take the time out to read their articles, or listen to their videos before commenting so that you can give the best response. You will also be able to leave a link pointing back to your website, which the search engines adore.

7. Reaching Out on Twitter- Twitter is another place where you can polish up your social media strategies for long term success.

A great tip here would be to do a search for others who are marketing on twitter and start to get ideas, and build relationships. If your local small business is known for selling hot dogs, make it known especially on twitter.

Are you ready to embark upon some powerful social media marketing training? Also it has become one of the most successful marketing tools on the web hemisphere. Yep, marketing. Can you believe? People along with major companies are using videos as part of their marketing campaign to rev-up sales or get the viewer to do some kind of action whether it be join their mailing list, visit their website, or purchase goods or service from the marketer.

Well, what does this have to do with artists, a lot. Just like major companies and independent companies are using YouTube as a way to market their products artist like you can too. Here's how.

Videos are different from text and still images because videos allow viewers to get a glimpse of who the person really is on the video. Viewers can tell whether you are entertaining, funny, informative, or boring. So if you have a video of you, as an artist people can see you and maybe like you, resulting in them doing business with you in some way. If you do decide to go the YouTube route there are a few things you as an artist should consider.

First, post videos of you creating your artwork in your studio or class.

You want to allow people to see a taste of what it's like to be in your world. While you are shooting the video you can talk a little about how your work is created from beginning to end. This type of video can serve as an artist statement to whom ever comes in contact with your video. You can post this type of video on your blog or site to serve as just that, an artist statement.

Second, create videos of you having an art show or art exhibition, especially if you have a lot of people at your show.

This gives the viewers a sense that you are professional and that you have some recognition from collectors and buyers. It's also cool to see people socializing and mingling at one single location that's devoted to you. So definitely post videos of yourself having an art show.

Third, use your videos to lead people to your site, blog, Facebook page, or what have you.

This is the most important thing you can do. You definitely want to have people to go to the main location where you sell and promote your art on the web. Again, whether it's Facebook, a website, or blog you want to have the link or url somewhere in the video. It's been said that it's best to have it at the beginning of the video and at the end. Also you want to have a direct link to your site or fan page first thing in the description box next to your video. You can put this right after you upload your video.

If uploading video and making video is new to you don't be too frighten by it, it's very easy to get started. If you don't know anything about video and YouTube just ask a family member especially a teenager or college student and I promise they can point you into the right direction. Also, don't concern yourself about what kind of camera to use.

There are so many inexpensive cameras that you can purchase less than 100 bucks that will allow you to upload your video directly to YouTube. If you remember these few things I mentioned you can't go wrong with getting a response from using videos to market your artwork.

For more info about selling art download "7 Pillars to Selling Art" at http://www.artbusinessmastery.com/how-to-sell-your-art/how-to-market-your-artwork-on-youtube

Ahmad Austin is an international artist who have help artists sell their artwork via art festivals.

Salon Business Marketing Tools: Video Mistakes to Avoid

Marketing your salon via Internet video like YouTube can be very lucrative for your business. Well, its simple, the huge gap of income they both generate for their online business. Affiliate marketers do earn big in their own online venture, but super affiliate treats it a bit different that is why they rake in tons of cash in just a short period of time.

To become a super affiliate, you do not need to undergo classes or to rake in years and years of experience in the online business to earn the same amount as they do. In fact, it all boils down to determination, strategy, and of course, how they accept the business as their lifeline to success. Let us get started in turning you into one.

1. Decide On Your Territory

Before you can become a super affiliate, you have to grow as an affiliate marketer. To do that, you need to know your own territory in the online business. The term "territory" applies to your target market. What product are you planning to sell to the online consumers? Who will be using this product? How are you going to sell it to them? You should ask yourself these questions in order to come up with an organized battle plan to outdo your competition and to rake in their profits as your own.

Research is a good way to start being an affiliate and to evolve into a super affiliate. Start by taking into consideration the needs and wants of the consumers. What are their problems? What solutions would cater specifically to their daily problems? What can you provide that offer these solutions? Think about these questions when you do your research.

2. Become Your Own Business

Rather than being dubbed as nobody in the affiliate marketing business that sells off the products and services of big-time companies, you might want to give your reputation a boost by becoming a single affiliate entity known throughout the World Wide Web. To do that, you need to establish your own foundation that serves as your presence in the online trade.

Let us put it this way; do you want to remain anonymous in the background and continue to sell a specific offer or do you want to become an affiliate business that is well-known throughout the Internet where big companies would be looking for you to successfully promote and sell their products or services. It would be safe to say that the latter is your paramount choice.

To do that, you need to first establish your own presence on the Web by having your own website. You can create sub-pages to your domain name according to the number of affiliates you have connected to your venture. Consider these pages as a separate entity that deserves your time and effort in order to successfully sell it off to the online public. Promote them individually with copywriting content, ads, promotional videos, or even some E-books being circulated all throughout the Web that describes your offers. This might take a lot of work, but the promise of profit is too big a chance to ignore.

3. It is All In Your Mind

But before you can successfully do the above strategies to become a successful affiliate marketer to a self-proclaimed super affiliate, it is essential that you condition your mind to the task at hand. Again, consider this business as your lifeline and you must do everything within your ability to see it grow and prosper. Let us face the facts; all businesses face a crisis at some point in time but you should never waver if you want to be a successful affiliate.

If you are faced with a dilemma concerning a certain product, then face it head on. Is the competition getting too tight? Then do your research to outdo your enemies and sell more of your items than they do. Do not give in to the depression that you are not earning much since this will only bring you down deeper to the depth of failure.

Selva Sugunendran CEng, MIEE, MCMI, CHt, MIMDHA, MBBNLP is an Integrated Systems Business Consultant, Internet Marketer, Social Media Evangelist, Master NLP Practitioner & Clinical Hypnotherapist. It is important to establish a marketing plan before you launch your business.

Many cleaning businesses fail - not because they are not good at cleaning - but because they simply did not advertise their business effectively to find the customers they needed to bring in income.

Cleaning business marketing does not need to be costly or time consuming. With a little research and planning, a business owner can create an automated marketing campaign that requires minimal time. He or she can also outsource advertising tasks, even on a limited budget. In addition, there are ways to effectively promote a cleaning business for free, although they generally will require more time.

You want to start with a cleaning business marketing plan. A simple way to draw up a plan without spending much money is to download marketing plan software that walks you through the planning process. You can also find sample marketing plans online to see what strategies other cleaning businesres have used, and the time and costs involved.

When you are organizing your advertising budget, keep in mind that you may want to invest more money initially to grow your customer base quickly. Once you have attained a group of happy customers, they can become repeat customers and also refer more clients to you without any effort on your part.

Networking with friends, other business owners and community organizations can help you spread the word about your cleaning services for free. You can get 250 professionally-designed business cards for about $10 that briefly describe your services, the benefits you provide and your contact information. These are easy "miniature ads" that you can hand out.

Announce the grand opening of your company by writing a brief press release to your local newspaper. This technique can get your business free publicity. The key is to provide interesting or newsworthy information like a limited time sale or the story of how your business started, etc..

Offering coupons through coupon mailing services can get the word out about your business while someone else does the marketing legwork. Customers like saving money, so with coupons you do not have to feel like a salesperson. Coupons can also be run as ads in newspapers or other publications, or you can purchase targeted leads and mail "coupon" postcards to prospects in your neighborhood.

Involvement in the community can also help to build your business. Help sponsor local events, host free workshops on cleaning-related subjects or donate your services to a charity organization. This "feel good" type of marketing tends to attract customers simply because of the law of reciprocation - those who receive want to give back.

Even though a cleaning business is not operated on the internet, advertising online is essential to growing your income. Because of the expansion of the web and mobile technology, more and more people are using search engines and local search directories to find information instead of using the traditional yellow pages.

The first step to online advertising is to get a website. Creating a cleaning business site is very affordable these days, and requires very little effort once you have it set up. Although you can hire a designer, many entrepreneurs decide to build their own sites using easy website makers. There are templates specifically for cleaning companies, and business owners can enter their specific company information into the template and many times have a completed site in one day.

The key is to use a variety of marketing methods to promote your cleaning business. Greater exposure leads to increased company recognition and before you know it, a lot of people will know about your cleaning service.

Home Business Center, Inc. lists tools and resources that entrepreneurs can use to market their cleaning businesses. This is an activity that involves buying large amounts of web space from a host, and selling on smaller packages to consumers for a profit. A reseller web hosting business is an attractive proposition, especially as the number of people launching websites is growing on a constant basis.

Before you buy any web space to sell on, there are a number of considerations you should keep in mind. For example, you should only move forward after a careful analysis of the market. It is important to think about who your target audience are and how you would reach out to this demographic.

If you were to adopt a somewhat random marketing and promotion strategy, the results that come to the fore may fall below your expectations. A useful approach would be to focus on a specific niche, such as the over-sixties or businesses. There are a number of ways in which you can reach out to the demographic you plan on targeting. Search engine optimization is still one of the most important strategies to adopt into your marketing plan, but the competition for the best page-ranking is fierce.

Think of ways in which you can use social networking sites to promote your services. Social networks hold vast potential and offer a means to connect with potential consumers from around the world.

Once you have a clear idea of who you hope to be selling web space to, you should then think about what type of packages to actually offer. An individual interested in launching a blog would have fewer requirements than a business needing a comprehensive e-commerce portal. Another consideration that should not be overlooked is the level of technical assistance to provide. Do not underestimate the help that certain customers may need, especially if they are new to web hosting.

On a final note, when comparing your own options of which host to use as your provider of web space, research into the reputation of the businesses you are short listing. If you are to be successful in the reseller hosting sector, you will need to have a partnership with a company that offers a professional and efficient service. One step that you should take is to find out how many outages particular hosts have suffered from in the last twelve months, avoid those that seem to be plagued by technical problems.

Sell your own Web Hosting, Domain Names, Website Builder, SSL Certificates and much more with the #1 Rated Reseller Hosting Program on the Net -- Gorilla Reseller Web Hosting!

Newsletter Marketing Tips For Small Business

If you own and operate a small business and would like the BEST way to get new customers, add an abundance of referrals and ultimately drive your sales, then you must use a client newsletter. In fact newsletter marketing is something every small business can do no matter what they sell, how stiff their competition, or how far the economy falls.

But the best part of the whole equation is the simple fact that newsletter marketing is as close to a magic bullet as you'll find.

Here's a question and answer session to help you put the power of newsletter marketing to work in your small business.

Newsletter Marketing Tips:

What's the most important part of a client newsletter?

I get this question all the time. And the answer I'm going to give you may shock and surprise you. But it's the truth. So here goes: Get a newsletter out the door every month. Even if you have all the parts wrong, you're better off doing something then waiting around until your newsletter marketing skills are 'perfect'.

Why should you write and mail a client newsletter?

It's an under the radar (and ridiculously fun) way to promote your business. Nobody expects to get a marketing message when they read a newsletter. And for this reason it becomes a great way to subtlety promote your products and services while also delivering a ton of extra value for your audience.

What is the best way to get a client newsletter mailed out?

Simply set aside time (about 4 hours per month) to write and mail a client newsletter. This takes some discipline in the beginning. But the more you do it, the easier and faster you'll get.

Is there something that makes this easier?

Another great question. And like anything else practice makes perfect. So don't beat yourself up if you're not the king of newsletter marketing in the beginning. Go easy on yourself. Give yourself a chance to hone your chops, until you do become a rip roaring newsletter samurai.

Is there anything that must be in a client newsletter?

There are a host of things that must be in an effective client newsletter. But since it's your newsletter you get to make the rules. Sure, my client newsletter would be different than yours. But then again, you and I are different people.

Who should get your client newsletter?

Every person that has bought from you, even if they haven't purchased anything in a long time is a perfect candidate to receive your client newsletter.

So there you have it.

Six questions you can ask yourself to use the power of nevsletter marketing to drive new customers, referrals and repeat sales into your small business.

If you could use a steady flow of new customers, then head on over to:

http://www.TheMarketingManiac.net

Where you'll be able to get your hands on 3 sizzling reports:

Report #1: The 10 Most Important Elements to a BLOCKBUSTER Marketing Campaign

Report #2: 3 Effortless Ways to Get 10 New Customers using the B.I.N. Even with a limited budget, you can impressively run a successful marketing campaign. The key to your small business success will lie on the type of materials you use. Here are some suggestions that will help you get started:

1. Get your flyers printed creatively. Try to create designs that stand out. If you can create a vividly colorful and artistic design, all the better. You can always look at the flyers of your competitions to get some ideas on how to make your flyer more interesting than they can. Impressive brochures will highlight your products and make sure your business is presented in the most interesting way. Just like other materials, you need to make sure your brochures are designed well.

7. Have your own presentation folder. This will help keep your marketing materials organized and present your business in an interesting manner. This folder can contain different marketing materials such as your business cards, flyers, brochures, sales sheets, and other documents. This makes it perfect to use this folder during business meetings, trade shows, and other events.

It is best to use your creativity in creating your marketing materials. With your imagination, you can definitely come up appealing and astonishing designs. The sky is the limit in the kind of design you create. Just be sure that it is appropriate and relevant to your business so you communicate your message and brand image to your target audience effectively. There are printing companies that can help you create your materials. For ordering convenience, you can work with an online printing company. There are plenty of choices on credible online printers.
